PHP4 and INFORMIX loading

I'm working with PHP4 and Informix 7.30, and I have a to build a database to load things that will be seen on the web. My question is kind of technical. Do I make another table for loading (it takes about 3 hours, from 6am, to 9am.) and after loading is done I load everything to the database, or is there a way to have all the statements loaded, and then COMMIT them, all at once?
