that when i try to view the following php page:
<?PHP

$contents = fread ($fp, 1000);
fclose ($fp);
print "$contents";?>
i get

d:\www\Apache\htdocs/test.php on line 10
Warning: Supplied argument is not a valid File-Handle resource in
d:\www\Apache\htdocs/test.php on line 11
Warning: Supplied argument is not a valid File-Handle resource in
