No, GD.pm will not help you with php. You need to have your
provider recompile php with gd installed, and then recompile
apache. Or you could move your website over to our machine,
we already run both. :-)
On a sidebar, the new GD does not support gif images. If you
really need that, I have a copy of the gd1.3 up at
www.aldham.net/src
