Getting function name from within function def

Is it possible to obtain the name of a user-defined function
from within the function itself? Let's say I wanted to enable
debugging from within my function by calling an external
function that writes a log as each function is called, perhaps
listing the function name, line number, results of func_get_args.,
etc.
Is there a function or other method to get this information?
