O.K., what do I need? Lets say that I have about 10 pages (A4) of text in one mysql database column. I don`t want to show it all on one page, as it would be too much, 2-3 pages of text would be maximum what I`d be ready to show on one page. But how could I get the info out of the database for splitting the thing? Probably I would need to split the text between the chapters(or just line breaks), not from somewhere in the middle of the text. How could I do it? To explain it a bit more, I guess you all have seen(done) sites with articles where long articles are split into smaller peaces and in the bottom of the page are links : page 1 page2 page3 etc. How could I do it the best and the easiest way? And second thing, this is a bit more involved with php. Lets say that I want to do the following: I have a form, where user writes the text, but lets say that he wants some parts of the text to be blue, red, bold, bigger, smaller ... or whatever. Yes, he could add some html, if he/she knew it, but Id like to make the things easier. Id like to make it possible to give him the possiblility to just write (now..this is just an example, the actual code could look different) @g:some text:g@ <- this could make the text appear green between the @g: tags...hmm, now when to think about it, it should be possible just to add these extra tags into the database with text and then when taking it all out, I could just look for the tags and if found, I just write "display the stuff between these tags this way and between those tags another way". ...well, I guess I found the solution to my second question myself, but the first one still needs the answer. And of course, if someone can say something good about the second one as well, be my guest. Thanks Siim Einfeldt
