Thank for your help Richard Lynch.
/usr/local/bin/php4 was chmod 644, so I inquired if they could make it
executable.
There solution was to move the php4 binary to my personal cgi-bin and
chmod 755 it.
htaccess was written as....
Action php4-script /cgibin/php4
AddHandler php4-script .php
I thought this would be a security risk running the binary within the
root.
Am I wrong?
My idea was to have /usr/local/bin/php4 executable,
and from the cgi-bin run my php scripts with
#! /usr/local/bin/php4 as the first line of code.
Thanks again for taking the time to help out us newbee's
