Earlier on the same Configuration page, it says:
With PHP 4.0, there are just a few Apache directives that allow you
to change the PHP configuration settings.php_value name value
This sets the value of the specified variable.php_flag name on|off
This is used to set a Boolean configuration option.which means I believe you should use: php_flag engine off Matthew At 10:07 AM 12/13/2000 +0100, you wrote:
Hi all. I have some questions about php.ini. I'm using linux+apache+php4 loaded as DSO module. Reading php.ini configuration manual, i have found that writing "engine = on" (on php.ini) i can enable or disable php pharsing by inserting engine on/off on httpd.conf apache configuration file. I have tryed to put "engine off" on a virtual host or on a dir and after loading php4 module, but apache cannot recognize this parameter.
