omg a typo caused my problem with mysql_result. anyway, i've learned so
much since i first installed lamp thanks to those who responded. what i
haven't figured out yet is why the .deb packages doesn't work properly
when it comes to mysql_connect(). this i managed to make it work when i
shifted to the source.
btw, i'm considering giving myself a christmas gift and thought i should
get Meloni's "PHP Essentials". any thoughts?
