Returning Classes from a function

Lets say I have something like this:
function foo()
{
$class = new Class();
if($class->is_true())
{
return $class;
}
else
{
return 0;
}
}
$foo = foo();
Lets say $class->is_true() happened and it returned class - would it be returned
with all of it's data intact?
