Hello, I am attempting to install PHP 4.0.3pl1 on Solaris 8 / Sparc. I'm using: GNU gcc 2.95.2 GNU Bison 1.28 Sun's make and binutils in /usr/xpg4/bin Apache 1.3.14 When I run configure as: ./configure --with-apache=../apache_1.3.14 --enable-track-vars It bombs out with checking whether byte ordering is bigendian... configure: error: can not run test program while cross compiling config.log shows: configure:40151: checking whether byte ordering is bigendian configure:40169: gcc -c -g -O2 -D_POSIX_PTHREAD_SEMANTICS conftest.c 1>&5 configure: In function `main': configure:40164: `bogus' undeclared (first use in this function) configure:40164: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once configure:40164: for each function it appears in.) configure:40164: parse error before `endian' configure: failed program was: #line 40158 "configure" #include "confdefs.h" #include <sys/types.h> #include <sys/param.h> int main() { #if !BYTE_ORDER || !BIG_ENDIAN || !LITTLE_ENDIAN bogus endian macros #endif ; return 0; } Any ideas on what I can do to get things working?
