We currently have the module version installed for our own web development
on a Red Hat 6.2 server (Dell poweredge 4500) running with SUExec for cgi
scripts. We would like to get the CGI version of php running so that under
certain instances we need the cgi version so that files written, uploaded
etc are saved under the username/group running the cgi.
Another note is that everything is done with Virtual host containers, I am
also just using the php cgi version like perl with the path to the
interpreter as the 1st line in the php script
I followed all documentation I have ran across and it seems to run, except I
always get Premature end of script headers logged in the Apache logfile for
a test virtual host. If I try and run a php cgi from the default webserver
I get a truely bizarre error
Parse error: parse error in /usr/local/bin/php on line 248
I have tried this on a stock Apache (and using the httpd.conf-dist file)
install on another server and I get the exact same results, Premature end
of script headers.. The parse error I havent been able to duplicate yet.
Any ideas as to where to start looking? the CGI verion runs from command
line with no problems.
