Why does it take take so long to upload a large file through php?
Small files (5 Meg and less) take about 30 sec. to complete the upload,
but any file uploads over 5 meg take a very long time.
While attempting to upload a 34 meg file, the browser looked as if it
stalled, but I let it run and 20 min latter the file was uploaded
correctly.

What is going on that takes so long?
