Hi, here is my problem,
I am working on an online file submission system. When a new category
of files is created I create a new table based on that category. The
purpose of this table is to hold a list of users that can post files to
this category. I know this may not be the most elegant way of doing
things but I have reasons for this.
Anyway, when I create the new table I would like for the table to be
automatically populated with the correct bunch of users. Is there any
way of doing this? I was thinking of using finger and extracting info
from the users on the system and based on the info extracted determine
whether they should be entered into the table or not. I am not sure how
possible this would be or if I can even get the correct type of info
from finger to make the decision on each user.
Any input/suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks.
