Hi!
I still have a small problem with those functions. I'm running PHP4.03pl1 on an apache web
server, which in turn runs on a SuSE 7.0
Linux System. I have the hardware clock set to our local time here in Germany, which is GMT+1. I
configured the system so that it
knows its GMT+1 but the hardware clock is set to local time. If I now run a php script with just
calling date() and gmdate() with
some formatting, I get the following output (current local time was 13:18 pm at that time):
date :18 12 2000 13:18:22 pm
gmdate :18 12 2000 14:18:22 pm
why is that ? date is fine, but why is gmdate reporting even one hour more in the future instead of
reporting one hour earlier ? I
tried some things and restarted apache and the whole machine some times, but I have no clue why it
still does'n work. strangely, if
I select a datetime field from a mysql db and use UNIX_TIMESTAMP(), I also get the result one hour
in the future.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
