Hello, all.... I've been having an incredibly hard time trying to get PHP running on Solaris 8, with LDAP support. It will compile, install, and run properly if I DON'T include LDAP support, and the LDAP support worked perfectly fine in Solaris 2.6 with the Iplanet LDAP SDK. I have been having a horrible time trying to get it working on Solaris 8, however... Here is the configure line I use for PHP - "./configure --with-ldap=/usr/local/ldap (or simply --with-ldap) --without-mysql --with-apache=../apache_1.3.14 --enable-calendar --enable-ftp --enable-track-vars --with-mhash --enable-libgcc" One of two things will happen - 1. Using the Iplanet LDAP SDK for Solaris 2.8 (64-bit) it is perpetually unable to locate the library libldapssl.so, even with explicit LD_LIBRARY_PATH, and LD_LIBRARY_PATH_64 variables set. After doing research, I believe this to be a problem with the Iplanet SDK. I could be wrong, however... 2. Using the Iplanet 32-bit SDK (or no sdk at all, using Solaris libraries) it all seems to work perfectly fine up until a "make" on apache (after configuring for the php module) - I get undefined symbol errors in libphp4.a(ldap.o) - About every single ldap function is an "undefined symbol". It's been quite frustrating.... Has anyone had any luck at all getting this to work with Solaris 2.8? I am using gcc 2.95.2 on Solaris 2.8 - and again, I am using the Iplanet SDK's. Thanks in advance! -Michael
