Hey,
I'm trying to compile SSLeay on my FreeBSD virtual server. I need this to conduct transactions
with the CC server for a peice of silly software the company bought. Now, I have OpenSSL installed,
the correct rsaref libs are present.
i do:
run the script to point all the make files to my openssl dir /usr/home/worldpub/usr/local/openssl
./Configure FreeBSD -lrsaref
Config works fine. No errors/problems.
I do a make
it compiles for quite a while (however during the verbose I notice some warnings about ambiguos
brackets and other non fatal messages)
then it gets to a point and spits out a whole mess of errors like the one below:
../libcrypto.a(bf_ofb64.o): In function `BF_ofb64_encrypt':
bf_ofb64.o(.text+0xc0): undefined reference to `BF_encrypt'
*** Error code 1
Stop in /usr/home/worldpub/tmp/SSLeay-0.8.1/apps.
*** Error code 1
Apparently libcrypto.a make references to a bunch of to functions that have yet to be defined.
libcrypto.a causes about 15 of these errors and it dies Error code 1.
Has anyone else had a problem building SSLeay? More specifically, has anyone built SSLeay on a
virtual server? Let me know your suggestions, processes, ideas, whatever on building this software.
I am probably doing something a basic as leaving out the proper flags during config/make, however
I've scoured the earth for more info on installing SSLeay and seem to only come up with the
same stuff. Thanks a bunch!
