Weird. I can modify it on my machine. WinNT, PHP 4.0.4-dev, Apache. Here's
my test code:
<a href="test.html?foo=blah">this page</a><br />
<?php
echo "<br>" . $HTTP_GET_VARS['foo'];
echo "<br>" . $HTTP_GET_VARS['bar'];
$HTTP_GET_VARS['foo'] = "lalala";
$HTTP_GET_VARS['bar'] = "scar";
echo "<hr>";
echo "<br>" . $HTTP_GET_VARS['foo'];
echo "<br>" . $HTTP_GET_VARS['bar'];
?>
Enjoy,
