mysql and imap with PHP4

Folks,
I'm having problems compiling php with the above. Platform is an
Ultra 5 running -
Solaris 8
apache-1.3.14
php-4.0.3p11
mysql-3.22.32
imap-2000a
It compiles (static) and installs OK and apache starts up but I get
the errors -
PHP Warning: Unable to load dynamic library './imap.so' - ld.so.1:
/usr/local/apache/bin/httpd: fatal: ./imap.so: open failed: No such
file or directory in Unknown on line 0
ditto for mysql.so
I configured --with-apache and --with-mysql and saw no errors when
making php or apache.
There is no sign of imap.so or mysql.so anywhere on the system so I
presume the make isn't creating them. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
I've recently done something similar with php3 on a Solaris 2.6
platform with no problem.
