As far as Question 1, there's no reason that shouldn't work. Either use the CGI files directly in the site, or use the PHP virtual command to call them and to route the output through PHP.
As far as the second question, that depends on the method that the two boxes can talk to each other, which depends on the configuration.

Could someone kindly give me some suggestions: Question 1:After I read some documents about PHP, I think PHP can do most of the work, but maybe, there are some complicated ones that PHP can't do. So, in that case, can we use CGI (Implemented by Perl) to do the job. So, the whole picture is: Use Apache as the web server, and use PHP to do the job, for certain tasks, if PHP can't do it, we just use CGI to do it. Personally, I don't see any problem in this Arch., but since you are the PHP expert, can I get some opinions from you?Question 2: Suppose:1). Apache is running in a Unix box A 2). Some html files reside in another unix box B; How can it be configured so that we can display the html files in box B through Apache?Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated.
