PHP 4.0.4 Core dumping!

I'm running FreeBSD 3.5-RELEASE and I compiled PHP 4.0.4 as a binary cgi
file and I tried running just 'php -v' from the shell prompt and it core
dumped saying "Floating Point Error" or something like that.. any ideas
why? It seemed to compile just fine.
