PHP 4.0.4 - gdImageCreateFromJpegCtx

Hi, I've decided to upgrade my libphp4 to 4.0.4. I've downloaded the tar.gz and used the same ./configure settings used before with previous versions. In order to make it work (I've successfully compiled it under a RH 7.0) I've donwload, built and installed a gd-1.8.4.src.rpm. The compilation part of php4.0.4 was ok but when I tryed to restart httpd Starting httpd: Syntax error on line 888 of /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf: Cannot load /etc/httpd/modules/libphp4.so into server: /etc/httpd/modules/libphp4.so: undefined symbol: gdImageCreateFromJpegCtx I was forced to reinstall gd-1.3.6 (to make my httpd server work again).
