Yup, you can do it via ODBC, I have no idea how though... , but in our office we have this scenario: Access database on our LAN (behind firewall) via ODBC connects to a mySQL database which stays online. where's PHP you'll ask? no idea, It wasn't me to design that, but I heard there's PHP being used somehow.
