Hi all,
does anybody know how to fork a process in php to the background????
I don't want my users to wait for a process that can take for abount a
quarter to complete before they get any feedback.
the code
for($i=0;$i<1000;$i++) {
for($j=0;$j<1000;$j++) {
do_some_things();
sleep(5); // to prevent my server from crashing or generating for
too much traffic
}
}
with kind regards,
Tijmen Hennink
