Hi!
i am having SERIOUS problems getting Netscape (v4.6 and v6 - haven't
tested any others yet) to accept cookies
using the following code, IE works as expected, but not Netscape:
setcookie("UserIDCookie", "$NewUserID", time()+31536000, "/",
".sheepinaheep.com.", 0);
where $NewUserID is (you guessed it) the last inserted id from a mysql
query, etc.
i have been trying for many many hours and days to get this to work
and have tried many different configurations of the above code... i
have even researched many php resources (docs, faqts.com, netscape
cookie specs, archived php.general postings, etc.)... no luck
although i can get netscape to accept the cookie if i do NOT specify a
domain, like this:
setcookie("UserIDCookie", "$NewUserID", time()+31536000, "/");
but then i'm back to the problem of www.sheepinaheep.com having the
cookie while sheepinaheep.com doesn't... or vice versa...
any help that anyone can offer is GREATLY appreciated!
sincerely,
- kevin
