file uploading

I am trying to create a simple page to upload files. When I include the enctype="multipart/form-data" attribute in the FORM tag, the browser acts like it's loading for a second or two, then it just stays on the original page, and does not load the action attribute's url. If I take the enctype... out then the action url loads, but of course all I get is the filename without the contents. What's missing? -- J --
