Hello!
First I would like to say that I am not a programmer. I can program and
actually I do, but I do it as a hobby. So, please don't get mad or upset if
any of my questions are absurd...
I was thinking... PHP uses today the Zend engine. Probably, I don't know for
sure (or maybe at all ;-) ), but let's suppose that the engine is optimized
to work with multiple requests (from different users to the same http server
at the same time) and can handle 10 requests per second.
Question #1: It is correct to say that this engine could be optimized to
work with one request only? I mean, instead of beeing prepared to handle
multiple requests, be prepared to handle only one?
Question #2: There would be any gain of speed? Or, correcting my question,
it would be possible to handle a request without too much use of CPU power
(again supposing that PHP uses a lot of CPU power to handle the requests...)
Thank you for your attention (and patience...),
Rom
