Try doing:
telnet yourhost.com 80
GET / HTTP/1.0
Hit return a couple times, and capture the output somehow.
Examine the headers carefully to see if there's anything unexpected.
Also, post the lines of your httpd.conf file that mention PHP.
Maybe somebody will spot something.
