In this situation is it possible to log errors? I don't like using @ to suppress errors because the errors can't be logged if they occur. I do see error logs in the site but I assumed that if there are errors logged, the user also saw them. Also, in my corrected version of the code I neglected to remove the "if($_dr) conditional test ($_dr has not been established at this point) Thank you all for time and attention JK
