Here are a couple things I did after installing PHP 7.0 to my CentOS6.8 & Apache 2.2 server.
Make sure you have the following in your /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf file
LoadModule php7_module /usr/lib/httpd/modules/libphp7.so
Make sure you have the following in your /etc/httpd/conf.d/php.conf file
#
# Cause the PHP interpreter to handle files with a .php extension.
#
AddHandler php7-script .php
AddType text/html .php
Restart Apache and you should be good.
