I'm pretty sure that I've built the IMAP c-client with SSL. with mtest,
I get:
%self signed certificate:
/O=Jerviss/CN=imaps.jerviss.org/Email=kjj@jerviss.org
?Can't establish SSL session to localhost/SSL,993
I take this to mean that mtest doesn't like self signed certificates,
because Netscape doesn't have any problem getting my mail, but I don't
have access to an IMAP server with a real certificate, so I can't check
that.
When I try it from PHP (built with --with-imap=/usr/local and
--with-imap-ssl=/usr/local) I get:
Warning: Couldn't open stream {192.168.0.254:993/imap/ssl}INBOX in
/home/httpd/htdocs/imap/index.php on line 9
Can't open mailbox {192.168.0.254:993/imap/ssl}INBOX: invalid remote
specification
I've tried quite a few variations on that mailbox descriptor, such as
{localhost:993/imap/ssl}
{localhost:993/ssl/imap}
{localhost/ssl/imap:993}
{localhost/imap/ssl:993}
etc...
and I always get the same error.
I offered a One Dollar reward on IRC for helping me get imap-ssl
working, but no one has claimed it so far. Can anyone help me?
