ok, over the past couple days i have posted a bunch of
times trying to get php set up with sybase and mysql support
and thanks to many of you i have been reasonably successful.
i had to resintall everything from scratch but i got it all
working and now that it works i don't understand how.
you think i would be happy but here is why im not.
my httpd.conf has no AddType for .php3
it has no LoadModule for libphp3.so
it has no AddModule for php3_mod.c
my srm.conf is empty
my mime.types has no type defined for .php3
php3.ini is not installed anywhere on the server
my httpd was compiled with the following options:
./configure --prefix=/usr/local/apache \
--enable-module=most \
--enable-shared=max
my php3 was compiled with the following options:
./configure --with-xml \
--with-prefix=/usr/include/apache \
--with-config-file-path=/etc/httpd \
--with-apxs=/usr/sbin/apxs \
--with-gd=no \
--with-sybase=/opt/sybase-11.9.2 \
--with-sybase-ct=/opt/sybase-11.9.2 \
--with-mysql=/usr
Since I compiled php3 as a DSO should it be required
as a Load/AddModule in httpd.conf and shouldn't I have
to make the web server recognize .php3 as a valid type?

Q: Backstreet Boys or N'Sync?
A: Both of them. In a house, on fire, surrounded by
trick fire extinguishers filled with gasoline.
