parse all html files with php?

My server's configuration works just fine for parsing .php3 files, but can I make it read *all*
files through the PHP engine? In other words, I'd like the fact that I'm using PHP to be
invisible to my users.
I'm using SSI directives (Apache 1.3.12) on some of my pages...will those still work, too?
