urlencode problem

I have tow files named as "a+b.doc" and "x y.doc". Before I pass them to another
page, I do urlencode first. But after I do urldecode in the next page, I got "a b.doc"
instead of "a+b.doc", but the second file is correct. Could anybody help me to solve the
problem ?
