Storing Images in MySQL DB

I would like to store images for a foto album directly in the DB. I'm using phpMyAdmin as DB
interface (or later on perhaps a self-made form) on a Win32 box.
How should the table (BLOB column), the INSERT and the SELECT statements look like to handle images
this way? What do I have to do in my php code to display the image from the db?
