What's "CONTROL" supposed to be? A variable passed? If so, you should use: session_start() session_register("CONTROL"); //to end the session simply call it up by: session_start(); //and then destroy it which also unregisters all variables passed... session_destroy(); Granted, I'm new at this too but this method seemed to work for me in a past project.
