Mike,
Looks like your slashes are backwards use "\" instead of "/" to escape
characters. You will notice that "/" is used in UNIX directories and HTML tags.
Here is the corrected code:
print "<a href=\"showpictures.php?id=$PID>\">Click Here</a>";
I assume "PID" is a variable. If so, it should be noted as "$PID".
