There is a very interesting article on this over at the Register. You can hide the URL by converting the dot delimited IP address to hex and then back to decimal. The browser will still interpret it. Therefore, yahoo.com can be interpreted as: http://3631443189 Go ahead try it, it's pretty cool. I wrote a program which takes the URL, gets the IP, and then converts it.
