I would suggest either posting more info or waiting for 4.0.1 due out Wed. All your problems are kind of vague. We can't help you if we don't have more info. Does apache work at all? Is it parsing PHP or is the php code showing in the browser? Did you compile PHP with support for your DB? What version of Linux are you running? Did you install via RPMs?
