nope. I meant I dunno what to change in the C implementation to
make it work.

that would help and hurt at the same time.
It would help, cause in this case Content-Encoding can appear
*after* content type and be considered by the UA
Hurt, cause you won't be able to make redirects, as long as
content type already announced a body to the UA
And if you are to make some changes to this, can we have the option
on *no* content type? i.e. header("Content-Type:") to erase it
from the response? (this allows for non-body responses like 202, 204)
