I cant remember the fix but its probably either using <col> tags or not closing all your <tr>'s and <td>'s properly (Netscape is more picky about this). mn -----Original Message----- From: Carlos Henrique [mailto:carlos@ifx.com.br] Sent: Wednesday, June 28, 2000 11:45 PM To: php-general Subject: php x netscape Hello! Folks, I have problems with netscape. My code has a function called table. Its supposed to design a table with nice borders, colors, etc and is a method of a class. The code is something like this: In the class: function table (...) { $ret = "<table>...</table>"; return ($ret); } In the page: echo $obj->table(); The problem is: In Netscape (my version is 4.73) if I use this function the page hangs the browser for a while (really a lot of time for the size of the page) and then shows the table. In IE the page is displayed normally (really faster). Now for something really strange: I change the 'return $ret' in function for an 'echo $ret' and voilla! The page loads really faster in both netscape and IE. Anyone have a tip to help me? Thanx in advance! Regards, Carlos
