Hello, Sean!
Wednesday, June 28, 2000, 12:00:26 PM, my station received a letter from You:
I am also using Interbase as DBMS for engine. Try to use function
ibase_blob_info( string blob_id_str)
This function returns object with BLOB description.
blob_id_str created with ibase_fetch_row() or ibase_fetch_object()
Object properties, that might be useful for you:
length - total BLOB length, in bytes.
stream - if 1, than blob is a stream.
isnull - BLOB is null
SM> Im trying to use an Interbase DB. I can fetch info from the DB, but one
SM> problem I have is: I ahve one script that does ibase_blob_echo($blobfield)
SM> which delivers a JPG blob from the database to the browser. What I need to
SM> be able to do is figure out if a blob field is null before I try to send the
SM> info. I have tried to use ibase_blob_info, but it only seems to retur if
SM> the blob is valid. Any guidance??
Best regards,
Vyacheslav.
