require() ???

How can I use this function to load files from subfolders?
when i try this on apache (Linux+PHP3)
require('cls/mysql.cl.php3');
from log I can read then:
[error] PHP3 Fatal error: Failed opening required 'cls/mysql.cl.php3' in
'index.php3' on line 6
I already tried full-path, but nothing! Only when i copied file in to same
folder, then it works! But I dont want do this!
Any other ideas are welcome!
