I think it's:
AddType application/x-httpd-php .php
Action application/x-httpd-php /usr/local/php
A) I'm not sure you need the "." on ".php"
B) You can add more extensions: ...x-httpd-php .php .php3 .htm .html .phtml
C) Is there a php binary in a php directory? You'd want: /usr/local/php/php
[Or did you just type that trailing / for fun?]
