$jobDate is in the format of YYYY-MM-DD
When I run this code I get " Array" written in the input box rather than the year.

$dateS[] = explode("-", $jobDate);
?>
MM:<input type="text" name="month" size="2"
maxlength="2">
DD:<input type="text" name="day" size="2"
maxlength="2">
YYYY:<input type="text" name="year" size="4"
maxlength="4" value="<? echo $dateS[0] ?>">
