I think Wrox is a very good reference for any language. I have an XSLT reference from Wrox and it has helped me tremendously because it is so comprehensive (includes online reference material). I'm sure the PHP book from Wrox is just as good. Another great book for PHP, especially for beginners, is The PHP Bible. I see they have one out now for php4 which is around $60 which I am probably going to order just to keep up to date. They cover the basics and then go into some more specific sections(broken into chapters) on useful technologies you can integrate with such as XML, LDAP, and MySQL all the while providing good reference sections in each chapter and sample code. If you haven't figured it out already I'd recommend the wrox book. -- phill > > The WROX books are popular.
