hi list..
i am new to php... so please be kind...
i am having a little problem in managing sessions ..
below is the code i for:

session_register("SESSION");
?>
<form action ="b.php" method="POST">
<input type="text" name="user">
<input type="password" name="passwd">
<input type="submit" name="Submit">

$SESSION["name"]="guest";
$SESSION["passwd"]="guest";

echo "User ".$SESSION["name"]."<br>";

it gives me:
User:
nothing......
what i want is to access the session variable SESSION in a.php as well as
the fields $name and $passwd. what i get from this is that both POST and
session id funda cant work together.... is there any way by which i can
have this kind of stuff ... i dont wanna use cookies since a lot of server
disable cookies.....
please help me .... i want this really bad ....
one more thing i can get the constant SID but not $PHPSESSID. where am i
going wrong .. please feel free to advice .....
