If you are worried about your payment processor going down (which to me would be a very serious concern) you might want to look at www.opayc.com which is a standardized way to talk to about 30 or so payment processors. So say C$ goes under, instead of having to redo integration to your app, you just switch drivers and voila you can use a different processor. You need an account with the new one of course but the integration needs no work.
