Greetings,
I reluctantly need to access a remote Microsoft Windows NT Server through COM objects, but I am
unsure as to whether the Unix version of PHP can handle this.
The online PHP manual states: 'These functions are only available on the Windows version of
PHP. These functions have been added in PHP4.'. This confuses me slightly, sorry :-)
I know that the Windows flavour of PHP can communicate with COM objects and I thought that PHP4
could as well but I'm not sure. Before I start working on this can someone confirm that PHP4
can use COM objects. I am about to build another server running FreeBSD, MySQL and PHP4 specifically
for this purpose and would like to know if I'd be wasting my time.
Many thanks in advance
Andy.
