Lets start at the basics. What is the easiest way to *make sure* that i am connecting to that oracle db? Anyway I can just list the tables, or something. odbc_tables or something like that?..To get a list of the tables, you could: SELECT TABLE_NAME FROM ALL_TABLES; ...but, since you're on Oracle anyway, why not do something even quicker? SELECT SYSDATE FROM DUAL; will return the current date. SELECT TO_CHAR(SYSDATE,'DD-MON-YY HH24:MI:SS') FROM DUAL; will return the current date and time. - Brian ------------------------------------- Brian S.
