Install problems php-freebsd

Trying to put php 4 on my shell. I do not have root access. Is it possible
to instal on FreeBSD v4.0 on a shell account?
It is set up like /lusr/home/world
and my domain is set from that
/lusr/home/world/domain.name.com
I managed to get MySQL installed at /lusr/home/world/mysql that sort of
works.
Just now need to be able to get php to install.
The server runs apache but I doubt I have any access to the files involved
with that.
Any ideas on this appreciated.
